What is mintwood home decoration? It is a technique of interior decorating your home by using only natural materials to create a calming and relaxing ambiance. Mintwood home decors are a refreshing, inviting alternative to the regular stuff you see all over the country.

I live in Atlanta Georgia and was very inspired by seeing some of the beautiful homes featured on the Jeanies Show (aired July 11, 2021). The exterior of these homes had such a warm and inviting appearance that I knew right then and there that I had to incorporate some of those elements into my own home as well. When it came to selecting what kind of interior design elements to include, there were so many to choose from. I could have chosen to paint my home white and for the trim I would have used walnut or mahogany wood. I could have chosen a luxurious hand-painted design or a nice hand-scraped cedar board. Any of these would have been just perfect for my mintwood home.

There are two themes I used in my rustic themed home. The first was a cabin theme with lots of rough woods and stone finishes. The second was a French Country theme with beautiful floral accents and antique pieces. The beautifully painted ceilings in both of these themes made the spaces really feel like they were designed for royalty. For added touch of whiteness, I stained my floors in the same light shade as the walls and ceilings – a brilliant effect in my parlor at home.

To finish off my mintwood and French country themed interior design, I chose two matching pieces of furniture – a big open dining table and a long comfortable chair. The open dining table allowed me to display my collection of plates, cups, silverware, and china; while the long chair made it easy for guests to relax and curl up. I chose a dark hunter green stain to match the deep green forest green of the furniture and cabinets. The perfect accessories to complete this gorgeous look would be some lovely candles, a plant stand, and some pretty plant lighting.

As you can see, my favorite aspect of this home is the natural beauty it offers. When I’m not spending time in my home, I often go out into the country to enjoy the beauty and peace of the great outdoors. Having a great interior design decorating theme adds that extra bit of peace and tranquility to my daily activities. In fact, the peace and quiet of a country setting is often more enjoyable than a hectic, busy city. Therefore, my two interior design ideas for beginners are exactly what I’ve spent most of my time in.
